Boris Johnson’s reprimand to Saudi Arabia and Iran has exposed British Foreign Policy to public debate and criticism more than put the two regional powers to shame. Britain is in a crises mode on several fronts. It is still in Brexit shock. The internecine war within the Conservative party undermines Government effectiveness of which Boris Johnson as Foreign Secretary is one consequence. And Britain is finding that the world outside EU is not queuing up at its shores for trade. 4th December was commemorated across Gurdwaras around the world as ‘shaheedi’ (martyrdom) day of the 9th Sikh Guru Teg Bahadur ji. It is one of the most profound turning points in the history of Bharat. Yet even 70 years after decolonisation, India has failed to officially recognise Guru Teg Bahadur’s importance in the State calendar.
